She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Elgar and Effie Mae Hill; her husband Virgil Buffington; and her siblings, Keith Hill, Byron Hill and Flo Johnson.
She is survived by: her sons, Kelly Buffington and Keith Buffington of Silver City; and her sister Norma Edwards of Tucson, AZ. She is also survived by one grandson, and three great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (2300 N Swan St, Silver City, NM 88030). The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Bayard National Cemetery (200 Cam De Paz, Fort Bayard, NM 88036).
