“In loving memory of Manuel Vargas, I met Manny in 1962 in Albuquerque. N.M. after we had joined the U. S. Navy. We immediately bonded, and joined on the "buddy plan". I hadn't seen nor heard from him since boot camp, but I loved him like a brother. Someone so special will not be forgotten.”
