He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Medina (Maria DeLaCruz Medina) and Maria DeLaCruz Medina; and his sister Eustaquia Gutierrez. He is survived by: his wife Genoveva; his children, Juan Medina (Cori) of Phoenix, Richard Medina (Deandra) of Hurley, Isidro Medina (Alice) of Alamagordo, Ruben Medina (Margaret) of Silver City, Mary Flores (Joe) of Silver City and Donna Medina of Las Cruces; and his grandchildren, Diandra Gunning (Rick), Juan Carlos Medina (Brittany), Luke Montoya (Kiona), Glenn Montoya (Noelle), Matthew Medina, Jacqueline Luera (David), Ivan Flores (Valerie), Darren Montoya (Mona), Chilito Medina, Caylin Montoya (Ethan), Preston Montoya (Kennedie), Erika Medina, Ariana Medina and Alyssa Medina. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; extended family.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Terrazas Funeral Chapels (1 Fort Bayard Rd, Santa Clara, NM 88026). A rosary was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Francis Newman Center (914 W 13th St, Silver City, NM 88061). A burial was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Memory Lane Cemetery (2000 Memory Ln, Silver City, NM 88061).
