William D. Hovarter of Silver City, New Mexico passed away on June 21, 2026. William, born on August 12, 1935, shared life alongside family, friends, and others. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
William will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. William’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Hovarter and Dorothy Hovarter. He is survived by: his sister Ruthie Gilbreath; and his children, Victor Hovarter, Elizabeth Baumgartner and Carlene Lewton. He is also survived by six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness and service in Bill's memory reflecting the way he lived his life every day. Also, donations can be made to the Tyrone/White Signal Fire Departments, in Bill's name.
