She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Islas and Felipe Islas; her husband Abel "Presley" Ortiz; and her siblings, Salvador Islas, Mercedes Gallardo, Dolores Gonzalez and Carmen Sandoval.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Ortiz and Loretta Ortiz; her grandchildren, Ruben Garcia (Sara Castillo), Alisha Morphew (Angelo Gonzales-Claflin), Raina Morphew, Justin Morphew and Daniel Garcia (Alyah Martinez); her great grandchildren, Adkin Trujillo, Adara, Aspen Trujillo, Isaiah Garcia, Davyon Castillo, Skye Castillo, Louie Santistevan, Londyn Morphew and Oakley Morphew; and her siblings, Philip (Marie Islas), Antonio Islas, Frank (Nelda Islas), Joe (Judy Islas) and Josephine Islas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Joseph's Catholic Church (605 5th St, Springer, NM 87747). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
