With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Laura Abeyta of Taiban, New Mexico, born in Fort Sumner, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 15, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Laura may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her nephew Clifford Ralph Jones IV; her grandchildren, Manuel Silva and Candace Abeyta; and her daughter-in-law Elaine Abeyta. She is survived by: her husband Louis Abeyta; her children, Myra Duenas (Ray) of Clovis, Louis Abeyta Jr. of Taiban, Anthony Joshua Abeyta (Pauline) of Clovis and Chad Abeyta (April) of Friona, TX; and her sisters, Tricia Potter (Roger) of Sun City, AZ and Frances Tillery (Dexter) of Clarendon, TX.. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and co-workers.
