He is survived by: his pet Sally; his wife Mary Erpelding-Chacon; his son Xavier Chacon; his brother Lawrence Chacon; and his son Frank Chacon Jr.. He is also survived by animals, and the care he gave to his family.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Rivera Family Funeral & Cremations of Santa Fe (417 Rodeo Rd, Santa Fe, NM 87505). The inurnment will be held on Wednesday, February 24th 2027 at 2:00 PM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501).
Sadly, his last few years were marred with cancer and Parkinson's disease.
