He was predeceased by: his parents, Hipolito Romero and Lila Chavez Romero; and his siblings, Max Romero, Paul Romero, Glen Romero, Isaac Romero, Robert Gonzales, Elba Aguilar, Christella Grabowski, Juanita Romero and Imelda Romero.
He is survived by: his children, Hope Romero, Yawshua Lee Romero (Amira), Paul Romero, Ashley Padilla (Ryan Ortiz) and Andrew Padilla (Cassandra); his grandchildren, Rosalinda Leela Romero, Septimus Romero, Aurelius Romero, Isela Padilla and Andrew Padilla Jr.; the mother of his children Rita Baldibiesa; and his siblings, David Romero, Wayne Romero (Rachel), Roger Romero (Margaret), Erla Archuleta, Patsy Romero and Peggy Ward (Stein). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Rivera Family Funerals & Cremations of Taos (818 Paseo Del Pueblo Sur, Taos, NM 87571). A burial was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Santa Fe National Cemetery (501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501).
