She was predeceased by: her parents, Román Durán and Maria Eufemia Durán; her husband Ramon Serna, Jr. (Ray); and her siblings, Maurilio Durán (Margaret), Angelina Pacheco (José D.), Fabiola Durán and Joan Diane Durán.
She is survived by: her daughter Dr. Madelyn Serna Mármol; her grandsons, Rafael Marmol, III and Ramón Mármol; her granddaughter-in-law Mariah Chee Mármol; her great grandchild Sofía Mármol; and her brother Manuel Librado Durán (Marlene). She is also survived by godchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and best friends.
A prayer was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish (205 Don Fernando St, Taos, NM 87571). A Mass was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Arroyo Seco Cemetery.
In addition, she was a board member of the Taos Community Foundation, the Taos Historic Museums, parciante of the Anderson Ditch Association, and a member of the El Salto del Agua Association.
