He is survived by: his wife Margaret; his children, Ray Salazar, Bernadette, Jessica Stansen and Nils; his grandchildren, Samantha, Taylor, Santiago, Isaac (Kalina), Simone (Luis) and Joaquin; his great grandchildren, Olivia, Mateo, Angelo, Jaxon and Baby Boy; and his siblings, Abel Jr. (Lupe), Carol (Louie), Carmen (Johnny) and Rosalie. He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, primos and friends.
