He is survived by : his wife Reina; his children, Carmen Sanchez, Lupe Vigil (Irvin), Linda Herrera (David), Cathleen Gurule (Donald), Jessica Barboa and Norbert Chavez (Elva); his daughter-in-law June Tapia-Chavez; his grandchildren, Christopher Sanchez (Jennifer), Stephanie Sanchez, Cynthia Medina (Nick), Tanya Pohl (Marvin), Tiffany Vigil, Isaac Herrera, Sophia Herrera, Elias Gurule, Michael Barboa (Melissa), Steven Barboa, Joslyn Barboa, Erica Chavez, Norbert Chavez, Jr., Antionette Roybal (Matthew) and Desiree Chavez (Canon); his great grandchildren, Joshua Sanchez, Matthew Roybal, Jr., Thomas Sanchez, Mia Roybal, Aundrea Chavez, Isabeya Medina, Elijah Medina, Cheyenne Duby and Elsie Duby; his great great grandchild Alizae Roybal; and his siblings, Eulalia Gutierrez, Gabe Chavez (Lucy), Sal Chavez, Gilbert Chavez (Rachel), Melcor Chavez, Jr., Peggy Pohl (Herman), Sylvia Castillo (Wilford) and Cicil Chavez (Emma).
