It is with sadness that the passing of David A. Lucero of Tucumcari, New Mexico is shared. David, born on March 15, 1958, passed away on October 9, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Lucero and Rafelita Lucero; and his siblings, Robert "Bobby" Lucero, Richard "Ricki" Lucero and Shari Cartwright.
He is survived by: his son David A. Lucero Jr. of Oakland, California; his grandson DJ Lucero III; and his siblings, Sammy Lucero (Carla) of Erie, Antonio "Tony" Lucero of Tucumcari, Louie Lucero (Helen) of Alaska, Vicky Jimenez (Felix) of Tucumcari, Dorothy Garcia (John) of El Paso, Edith Medina of Tucumcari and Christy Garcia of Tucumcari. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:15 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Anne's Catholic Church (306 W High St, Tucumcari, NM 88401). A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at 4161 Cemetery Rd, Tucumcari, NM 88401.
