He is survived by: his children, Isidro Montaño, Leonzo Montaño, Daryl Montaño, Mark Montaño and Veronica Montaño; and his siblings, Benjamin Montaño (Ruby) of Tucumcari, NM, Arthur Montaño (Cathy) of Albuquerque, NM, Gilbert Montaño of Albuquerque, NM, Andrew Montaño of Denver, Martha Sandoval (Toby) of Bernalillo, NM, Evelyn Griego (Danny) of Raton, NM, Jennifer Caperton of Tucumcari, NM and Sophia Montaño of Fresno, California.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, three great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Mosquero Cemetery.
