With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Deborah Kay Schermerhorn of Boulder City, Nevada, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Deborah left this world on July 19, 2025 at the age of 75, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Schermerhorn and Kathleen Schermerhorn. She is survived by: her children, Tracy Ravera (Larry), Pete Jenkins (Wendy), Aaron Jenkins (Kim) and Josh Jenkins (Katie); her grandchildren, Chanel Andrews (Ravera), Jed Ravera, Sydney Wittmer (Jenkins), Lakin Jenkins, Wyatt Jenkins, Ava Jenkins, Lainey Jenkins, Lauren Jenkins and Grady Jenkins; her great grandchild Atticus Jenkins; and her siblings, Martin Schermerhorn (Lily), Aleta Palmiotto (Joe) and Jeffery Schermerhorn (Sandy).
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Newton Union Cemetery (1601 W 4th St N, Newton, IA 50208). Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory (1115 E 19th St N, Newton, IA 50208-2539). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Calvary Chapel (1000 Nevada Way, Boulder City, NV 89005).
Memorials to Deborah Schermerhorn may be left at the services. Contributions will go to Resident Activities at Lakeview Terrace.
