He was predeceased by: his wife Florence Frances; his parents, Art Hooper and Alice Hooper; his siblings, Owen, Gene, Homer, Levi, Hugh, Orva George, Verna Brady, Ophelia Austin and Lucille George; and his children, Althea, Robert and Merle.
He is survived by: his children, Bryan Hooper of Fallon, Rev. Kenneth Hooper of Lolo, Montana, Clifton D. Hooper of Reese River and Rebecca Chapin of Billings; and his sisters, Laura Saunders of Yerington and Darlene Dewey of Reese River. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
