The memory of Ernie A. Flangas of Ely, Nevada, who passed away on September 4, 2025 at the age of 91, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander John (AJ) and Fotene Flangas (Faye); his brothers, Bill Flangas, John Flangas and Gus Flangas; and his nephews, Albert Flangas (Trudi) and Ted Flangas.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Marilyn Flangas (Bill); and his sibling's children, Gus Flangas (Tammy), Alex Flangas, Gary Flangas (Amanda) and Camille Flangas. He is also survived by numerous cousins and grand Nieces and Nephews, many Godchildren.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mountain Vista Chapel (450 Mill St, Ely, NV 89301). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Nevada Northern Railway Foundation.
