He was predeceased by : his parents, LaVerne Whipple and Luella Whipple; and his brothers, Dalen, Galen (Evelyn), Dean and Jim (Don).

He is survived by : his children, Julie Laiwakete, Jerry Whipple (Jeannette), Connie Peacock (Lorin), Corey Whipple and Vickie Larsen (Brian). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
