He is survived by: his wife Diane Slade Tavares; his sons, Harrison Tavares, Jared Tavares (Tyler) and Jonathan Tavares (Erin); his grandchildren, Taylor Tavares, Alexus Crabb, Hannah Tavares, Donovan Tavares, Shaelyn Tavares, Allison Tavares, Jayden Tavares, Cassandra Tavares, Kennedy Tavares and Trenton Tavares; his great grandchild Damon Crabb; his sisters, Charmaine Tavares and Sharon Klaschka (Brian); his nephews, Mark Klaschka (Nancy) and Scott Klaschka; and his great-niece Kathryn Klaschka.
