He was predeceased by : his parents, Dorothy Adele (Stroebel) and Harold Philip Newman; his former life partner Donna; and his son Thomas. He is survived by : his wife Phyllis; his children, Kathleen (Kevin Kelly), Kristine (Roc Stacey), Karyl (Russ Brown), Steven (Tamara Sheppard), Luke, Jacqueline (Daniel Hickman), Rebekah (Will Woolsey), John and William (Erin Doerr); his grandchildren, Nicole Thompson, Jessica Newman, Christopher Phelps, Thomas Newman, Kayla Good, Shane Kelly, Justin Kelly, Ryan Brown, Emma Woolsey, Bob Woolsey and Charlie Hickman; and his great grandchildren, Noah, David, Joel Thompson and Solara Newman.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St Patrick's Catholic Church (850 W 4th St, Fallon, NV 89406).
