She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtis Caldwell and John Caldwell; her siblings, Maxine, Shelby, Melby, Thelma (Sissy), Margaret and R. Boyce; and her former husband Julius Burton.

She is survived by: her wife Peggy Joffrion; her sons, Tommy Lance Burton (Winona), Jerry Lynn Burton (Katie) and Michael Douglas Burton (Dede); her grandchildren, Noah Burton, Cheyenne Burton, Caleb Burton, Amber Burton Stroud (Trevor), Joseph Burton, Kelci Burton, Gage Burton, Travis Burton and Emma Burton; and her great grandchildren, Asher Nix, Dani Nix, Alena Stroud and Eloise Nix.
