He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles G. Norton and Amelia Norton; and his siblings, George Norton, Charles Norton, Edward Norton, Mary Wilcox and Carmelita Lekan.

He is survived by: his wife Velia Norton; his daughter Anita DePoe; his granddaughter Alison Mier; and his brother Richard Norton.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

“We returned to live back in Henderson in 2024, after a 40 year absence, and I saw that he passed earlier that year. What an outstanding man he was. I really enjoyed golfing with him , working with him at USBR, and getting to meet his wonderful family. He was truly blessed and U’ll always have very fond memories of him.
