She was predeceased by: her significant other Dr. Louis Friedner; her parent Gloria Kathryn Anderson; and her brother Timothy Patrick Tierney. She is survived by: her daughter Sarah Filer (Bob); her grandson Jeremy Filer; her sister Kathryn Fedrizzi (Kevin); and her pet Ethel.

In lieu of flowers, Carolyn's request was for donations to go to her Congregation Ner Tamid in Henderson, Nevada.
