He was predeceased by : his mother Shirley Ann O'Dell; and his brother-in-law Jerrel Jones. He is survived by : his father John Lee Bert O'Dell (Juanita); his wife Carrie J O'Dell; his sons, Shawn Cenk-O'Dell and Aedan O'Dell; his sister Becky A Jones; and his pet Asha.

In 2020, amidst Covid, Danny's family followed, and they settled in Henderson, NV.
