Robert Wacaster Obituary
Robert Ezra Wacaster, 77, passed away September 5, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. He was born January 6, 1940 in Pocatello to Earl & Wanda Wacaster. He grew up in the Pocatello & Pingree area. Robert was a proud graduate of Snake River High School 1958. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force. In June 1961, he married Lucille M. Owens.
Robert was employed at Hughes Aircraft, General Dynamics, and was a self-employed painter. Robert and Lucille raised 3 children in California and Idaho. Later they moved to Bullhead City, Arizona. Even though Robert left Idaho, Idaho was still a big part of him. Each year he would come to Idaho for fishing trips with his son Carl and his brothers.
He loved the fishing trips! He also loved Horse Racing and Rodeos. Robert taught his children a strong work ethic and was always polite and kind to anyone he met. Alzheimer"s is a horrible disease, but Robert was strong and stubborn, and fought the disease until the end. Robert is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lucille, his three children, Chris, Robert, Carl, one granddaughter, Tiffany; sisters Bernice (LaVerl), Kathleen, his brothers Dean, Don (Karan), Vern (Juanita); and many nieces, nephews.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, a brother-in-law, and a sister-in-law. A Celebration of Robert"s life will be held at 1:30pm on September 23, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 100 S. 1050 W. in Thomas, Idaho.
