Shirley Mae (Shirley Friedel) Aker Obituary

Shirley M. Aker passed away on Wednesday, July 22 2020, in her sleep. She was from Chicago Illinois and later resided in Las Vegas Nevada with Rick Jr and his wife Margaret.
She dearly loved her husband, Richard Aker, and never remarried after he passed. Shirley so loved her only son Rick Jr and Daughter-in-law Margaret. She cherished their two sons, Rick III and Robert as well as their brides Shanna, Heidi from 2nd marriage with Rick III, and Robs bride Kelly. She could never get enough of her family and friends which included 6 grand children, a new great great Grand girl and other smiling family and friends. After her retirement from Northern Trust Bank in Chicago, she moved to Las Vegas Nevada. Shirley became and loved being a family baby sitter for several families which regularly sent her updated photographs which she put up on her bedroom wall.
Shirley will also be missed by her “special family” at Sams town casino and the employees there who knew her by name and smile.
Shirley is survived by: Son: Richard AkerJr his wife Margaret, Sister: Barbara Hoffman her husband Amador. Grand children: Richard Aker III (1st wife Shanna) wife Heidi, Robert Aker and his wife Kelly. Great Grandchildren: Rachel Graff and her husband Connor, Megan Dalton, Zack Aker and his wife Kinley, Lauren Mogoon and her husband Connor, Sara Aker, Jessica Aker. Great Great Grandgirl Claire Graff.
Shirley’s smile, laugh, and love can never be erased by those who knew her. Her positive, love, special glow and effect she had on the world will never be filled by just one person. When thinking of her remember her smile, her love, her warmth and know she loved you.
Shirley will be placed next to her husband at Palm Boulder Highway Mortuary 800 South Boulder Highway
