Wilma Mae Keyser Obituary

Wilma Anderson Keyser (86) of Henderson, NV and formally of Stahlstown, PA passed away very peacefully on Monday morning September 4, 2023 at her home. Wilma was born in Ligonier, PA to Paul and Etta Anderson in 1937. She was a graduate of Ligonier High School. Wilma and her husband Kenneth spent most of their life living in Stahlstown. They moved to Henderson NV in 2010 to be closer to their daughter Wanda, her caregiver, as her dementia progressed and limited her abilities. Wilma and Kenneth were very active with the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Department for more than fifty years. Wilma could always be seen at the annual CRVFD parades as one of the clowns; a highlight of her life. Wilma also volunteered at the annual Flax Scutching for many years. Besides her volunteer work, Wilma enjoyed sewing, gardening and mowing lawns. She was the type of lady that would give you the shirt off her back if she thought you needed it more. Wilma did housework for many years and had several families she worked for in the Ligonier Valley.

She is predeceased by her daughter Paula Alcorn (2003), and we know she and Paula are now reunited and watching over us. Wilma was the last living child of her parents. Wilma is survived by her husband Kenneth of 65 years, her daughter Wanda Shumar and husband Mark of Henderson, NV, her daughter Donna Tate and husband Charles of Pahrump, NV and her son Raymond Keyser and wife Christine of Acme, PA, five grandsons and one granddaughter and 6 great granddaughters.

A memorial service was previously held at her home in Henderson NV. A memorial service will be held at Snyder Brown Funeral Home on TBD at 402 E. Church St. Ligonier, PA 15658.
