He was predeceased by: his father George Jones; and his siblings, Cheryl, Beverly, Carolyn, Kenneth and Ronald.
He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Shawn, Marcus and Darryl II; his stepchildren, Demetrius and Taylor; and his sisters, Leslie and Gail. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
During his time in Cleveland, he was employed at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and later worked at the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority for many years.
