He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“In loving memory of Jerrol Lynn Williams, My prayers go out to his family and friends. I had the privilege of going to Purdue University with Jerrol and also of hanging out with him once. I was deeply impressed with how cool and collective he was, and his devotion to lifting weights and working out. In my mind I always referred to him as "Rollie" but I never called him that because I wasn't sure how that would work out. Watch over us now from heaven dear friend, rest in peace.”
