He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gavin and Mary Ann Gavin (O'Grady); his siblings, William Gavin (Buddy), John Gavin (Jack), Michael Gavin, James Gavin, Noreen Penny (Gavin) and Kathleen Cooke (Gavin); and his grandson Christopher Chavez.
He is survived by: his daughter Mary; his granddaughters, Rachael Chavez and Emily Chavez; and his siblings, Virginia Mary Cooke (Gavin) and Martin Gavin.
