He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou McDaniel; his children, Valerie "Sissy" Renee Galtney, Purvis McDaniel Jr. and Corby McDaniel; and his grandson Shaun. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
