He was predeceased by: his former wife Sandra Niermeyer; his parents, Joseph A. Niermeyer and Henritta Niermeyer; and his siblings, George Niermeyer, Donald Niermeyer (Sue) and Catherine Tunny.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Niermeyer; his sons, Thomas Niermeyer (Rachelle), Lawrence T. Niermeyer (Heidi), David Niermeyer (Kristin) and Rod Vandervort (Susan); and his grandchildren, Kayla, Mark, Jacob Niermeyer, Scotty, Ethan Genzmer, Adam Mosier (Suzanna) and Ryan Sbarra.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre (606 E 113th Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 6:00 PM and on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM.
