With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Smeltzer of Reno, Nevada, born in Bellefonte, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 14, 2020 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his parents, Richard Smeltzer and Nancy Smeltzer (Hartley) of Bellefonte; his spouse Chun Cha Yang; his daughters, Jennifer Lynn Rowan (Jesse) and Teva Marie Hogg (Aaron); his grandchildren, Brody Lee of Reno, NV., Vance Dean of Reno, NV., Hana Gray Rowan of Reno, NV. and Levi Douglas Hogg of Reno, NV.; and his brothers, Randy Smeltzer (Lisa) of Pleasant Gap and Dondi Smeltzer (Kimberly) of Bellefonte.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Doug's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
