He is survived by: his wife Julie-Anne Powers; his children, Jennifer Powers and Thomas Powers; his brothers, Edward and Daniel Powers; and his friends, Tom Newlander and Fred Ward. He is also survived by his in-laws, nieces and, nephews.
A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral (310 W 2nd St, Reno, NV 89503). The military honors will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery (14 Veteran's Wy, Fernley, NV 89408).
