He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Simpson and Grace Simpson; and his brother Terry Simpson. He is survived by: his children, Alexa and Gabe; his wife Julie; and his brothers, Lanny and Leo. He is also survived by animals, especially dogs, and always had a faithful companion.

Because of the limitations surrounding the Corona Virus, a funeral service will be held for family and close friends only.

“I was fortunate to be Dr. Simps one surgery scheduler for a few years at ROC. Not only was Dr Simpson a great Doctor, he was an amazing boss. I had the honor to work for one of the kindest and humble people in my life. “It saddens me to learn of the passing of Dr. Simpson. He was the only doctor in Reno that identified my issue after several failed me. He treated my son and my husband as well. We had faith in Lex as a physician and he was also great human being. Although you are now gone, I proudly bare my scar and always tell my friends, Dr. Simpson did such a great job! RIP”
