He was predeceased by: his former spouse Loel Rae Armstrong; and his adoptive children, Evelyn Remmerde, Richard Sipes and Randall Sipes. He is survived by: his children, Les Sipes (Elaine) of Marysville, Washington, Brenda Kishpaugh (Richard), Colleen Winans (Ron) of Reno, Nevada and Geneva Martinkus (Michael) of Washoe Valley, Nevada; and his stepson John Whitfield (Marjo) of Texas. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
