He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Smith and Helen Sanny; his siblings, Daniel Smith, Ronald Smith, Doug Smith, Joey Smith and Leatha Lucas; and his son Lee Smith.

He is survived by: his sisters, Leah Leyva and Cecelia Smith; his wife Gloria Smith; and his children, Dale Smith, Cameron Smith and Michele Smith. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
