He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Cummings and Elizabeth Cummings (Crum); his brother Dennis Cummings (Mary); and his wife Judy Hamaker. He is survived by: his grandchildren, RaeLynn DeLaRosa (Mike), Amber Boyd, Kent Gamez, Drew Franklin, Tyrell Cummings (Shayla), Cierra Gamez, Riley Cummings (Savana) and Shylee Moxey. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in Gary's name to benefit the United Church in Edgemont, SD.
