With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Walter L. Young of Yerington, Nevada, born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, who passed away on August 2, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Young and Vergie Young (Burkett); and his siblings, Timothy and Connie. He is survived by: his wife Ginger Young; his sister Cathie Phelps (Ron); his children, Monica Carter (Rob) and Cody Young (Autumn); and his grandchildren, Sierra Gowin (Leroy), Randy Carter, Courtney Young-Rodriguez (Jimmy), Melissa Carter, Jerica McDoniel (Max), Lane Young, Leona Young (Austin) and Skye Carter-Ottley.

The family asks in lieu of flowers to donate to MDA foundation or a charity of your choice.
