She was predeceased by : her parents, Ernest L. Poole and Reta Young Poole; her brothers, Edward E. "Ned" Poole and James William "Bill" Poole; and her daughter-in-law Nancy S. Comings.

She is survived by : her son-in-law Timothy Vroman; her husband Philip C. Comings; her daughter-in-law Leslie; her children, Patrick P. Comings of Troutman, NC, Timothy C. (Leslie K. Comings), Sharon L. (Richard Cutting), Laurie C. (Stephen L. Jones) and Deborah C. (Timothy Vroman); and her sister Mary E. Douglas of Towanda, PA. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
