With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jane Beverly Downey-Roesch of Akron, New York, born in Clarence, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 30, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Rebekah Owens; her husbands, Roger Downey and Clair Roesch; and her parents, Roy Wittlinger and Marie Wittlinger (Renee).
She is survived by: her daughters, Marilyn Kasperek (late Ken) of Akron, Janice Walters (John) of Akron and Karen Reigle-Scheitheir (late Arthur) of Akron; her grandchildren, Karlyn Backus (Michael), Alison Allaman (Justin), Corey Reigle (Emily), Rachel Fisher (David), Sarah Roth (Christopher), Jason Reigle (Amy), Joseph Walters (Leanne), Susan Mest (Jason Hake) and Jonathan Walters (Meaghan); and her siblings, Arlan Wittlinger (Janice) of Clarence, NY and Carolee Alexander (Charlie) of Folly Beach. She is also survived by niece and three nephews, as well as several great nieces and nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Akron or Akron Community Band.
