It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marcia Gere of Akron, New York, born in Auburn, New York, who passed away on October 16, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
As we bid adieu to Marcia's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Marcia has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gere and Dorothea Nichols Gere; and her sister Shirley Klein (Alvin). She is survived by: her sibling's children, Chuck Klein (Lony), Karyn Klein, Larry Klein (Tete) and Paul Klein (Nan).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Akron (122 Main St, Akron, NY 14001). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers charitable contributions may be made in Marcia's name to the American Cancer Society.
