With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ruth Schmatz of Akron, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benn Wiggins and Christianna Wiggins of Montour Falls, NY.; her siblings, Robert (Hap), Benn and Helen Fitzgerald; and her husband James B. Schmatz.
She is survived by: her children, Helen Warren (Tony), Jim Schmatz (Lorraine), Ann Burden (John), Tom Schmatz (Linda), Mike Schmatz (Shelly) and Nancy (late Bob Levett). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Ruth's memory to St Jude or Hospice Buffalo.
