He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Leaf and Mary Leaf (Terrance); his wife Adeline Hemlock; and his siblings, Mary Ann Peters, Margaret Peters, Aleander Peters, Elizabeth Lafrance, Sarah Thompson, Genevieve Tarbell, Agnes Roundpoint, Emily White, Anna Thompson, Peter White, Alex Peters, Frank Leaf, Harry Leaf Joseph Leaf and Ralph Leaf.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Leaf (Ruth) of Lawtons and Jennie "Sue" Twoguns (Chuck) of Lawtons; his grandchildren, John Leaf, Amy Brucz (Darren) and Matt Twoguns; and his great grandchildren, Janelle Hebbourn (Connor), Rylee Brucz and Kylea Twoguns.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Akwesasne Homemakers (1126 River Road, Snye, QC H0M1A1). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Regis Catholic Church (107 Angus Thomas Memorial Road, Akwesasne, QC H0M1A0).
