Kenneth J. Thompson Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on November 17, 2025, at the age of 90, Kenneth J. Thompson of Akwesasne, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Katie Ransom Thompson and Mitchell Thompson; and his siblings, Vincent, Douglas Thompson, Roger, Lavinia and Gary Gray.
He is survived by: his children, Vincent Barney of Green Island, Sandra Thompson of New Hampshire and Andrea Thompson (Curtis) of Akwesasne; his granddaughters, Madeleine Farkas of New Hampshire, Kaiya and Nikahehtah; his children, Sherman of Akwesasne, Shirelle of Akwesasne and Steven Jacobs of Akwesasne; and his siblings, Harvey Thompson of Onondaga, Lloyde, Yvonne and Patty.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mohawk language programs or the Freedom School.
