He was predeceased by: his parents, Delphine Bauer and Vernon Bauer; his sister Sally; his uncle Leonard; his aunt Nicki; and his brother-in-law David.
He is survived by: his wife Debra Gugig-Bauer; his brother Michael (Debbie); his sister-in-law Melissa; his niece Dawn; his great-niece Alyssa; his niece Kristy (Kevin); his great-nephews, Bryce and Chase; his niece Michelle (Bill); his great-nephew Matthew; his nephew Bill (Melissa); his great-niece Zoe; and his cousins, Trudy, Steven, Cindy, Diane, Hilary and Angelina. He is also survived by friends.
Alan lost friends and family to COVID-19 and felt very strongly about the importance of being vaccinated.
One of Alan's friends has set up a GoFundMe page on Facebook to help Debra pay for Alan's uncovered medical and other expenses.
