He was predeceased by: his father Clyde L. Hughes; and his brother Vincent Meekins. He is survived by: his children, Sharie Meekins of Philadelphia, PA, Calvin Cummings-Meekins (Melanie) of Philadelphia, PA and Ashanti Bradford; his mother Corrine Meekins; his siblings, Arvella Hughes of Sacramento, CA, Mary Hughes of Sacramento, CA, Penna Hughes, Gregg Meekins (Maria) of Poughkeepsie, NY and Gerald Graham of Albany, NY; and his child Yvette Cummings-Rice of Philadelphia, PA.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
