He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Hurwitz (Parker); his sister Shirley Kornetsky; and his parents, Stella Hurwitz (Buchman) and Solomon Hurwitz. He is survived by: his children, Richard Hurwitz, David Hurwitz, Laura Snyder and Cheryl Hurwitz; his grandchildren, Rebecca Norton, Debra Needham, Erin Snyder, Amanda Snyder, Jared Hurwitz and Eliana Hurwitz; and his great grandchildren, Leah Norton, Liam Norton and Juniper Snyder-Stares. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
