He is survived by: his parent Mary Carofano (Klee); his wife Diana Carofano (Podeswa); his children, Jennifer Carofano-Rosen of Los Angeles, Beth Magin of Torrance and Justin Carofano of Saratoga Springs, N. Y.; his grandchildren, Everett Rosen, Arya Magin and Cora Magin; and his brother Garry Carofano.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's memory to the Trauma Fund at Renown Regional Medical Center or the Albany Pine Bush Preserve Commission.
