It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald L. Hicks of Albany, New York, born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on February 21, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Cortes Hicks and Ella Marie Hicks; his wife Mary Lowry; his daughter Nancy; his sister Beverly; and his niece Sherry. He is also survived by five children, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 24th 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New York City Parks Department or to Church of The Good Shepherd in Inwood, New York.
