She was predeceased by: her parent James Halford; her husband Joseph J. Thornton; and her former husband Joseph L. Van Ullen. She is survived by: her parent Mina Halford; her sibling Marion D. Kleinhans; her children, Lynne M. Thornton, Joseph Thornton (Esther), Kevin Thornton, Brian Thornton (Jill) and Lisa Dorries (Gregg); and her stepchildren, Christine Lemberg (Howard), Susan Lapetina (Mauro), Nelson Van Ullen (Cynthia), Stephen Van Ullen (Christine), Mary Van Ullen, Clayton Welch and Gretchen Place (Stewart). She is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
